Old worn rooms, thread bare carpet in my room, very long work to room. A once good hotel, past it's best.
Ideal break for my sisters birthday, we wanted to workout, have light dinner, party hard then chill out.. strongly recommend to others wanting similar break as all boxes where ticked for us. Excellent room service and the best breakfast i have experienced in buffet style.. Nikki and Cheryl Leicestershire.
Price of aqua experience a little high for what is on offer..
The hotel is generally much "tattier" than 12-18 months ago when I last stayed there, carpet thread bare in places held together with tape!. The rooms are really showing there age, not a four star golf resort to me. The shower in my room was poor to say the least, tv reception was more are less non existant, its just not acceptable to have levels lower than your average home. Good job I only stayed a short time due to business commitments.
The food and quality in the French Restaurant was not as good as previously experienced on a number of occasions. The staff were very good.
Space to be together with 17 colleagues for a social break
The food was excellent, hotel staff were very friendly and the spa facilities were nice and relaxing.
The accommodation was well presented.......however the bath had a few "hairs" in it which was a bit offputting...... My husband and I were down for a family wedding and had to stay 2 nights, I thought the price for one night (Sat) was a bit expensive at £149...although the Sun was only £75....
box of choc thank you
the way the doors in the corridor bang closed after a slow beginning
We were staying for my sisters wedding & found the whole experience at the belfry amazing. I would reccommend to anyone.
There are still ongoing problems with the internet and the heating in the rooms.Service at dinner was not as one expects, ordered a glass of wine to drink with my meal and it arrived as I was finishing my main course.
Ease of check in. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great, but not very hot .
drinks very expensive. Rooms need a bit of upgrading.
The food and the wedding we attended
Location for work and the golf facilities make it an ideal place to stay.
The Jackson house rooms aren't as nice as the the rooms in the main building. They look a little dated. The usual service in the golf bar was missing. For someone travelling on their own it is very helpful to have the tae service.
Quiet, comfortable, breakfast excellent, staff on the whole indifferent,tv very poor reception. Not the standard you expect considering the tariff
Friendly staff, a hotel with plenty of space, wide corridors etc.
Difficult to find (even with SatNav!)
unhelpful receptionist, late room availability, no minibar in superior room, bath hot water mixer not working
